Pride Uganda Alliance International is a non-profit social group which aims to promote the wellbeing of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer and other sexuality, sex and gender diverse people from East Africa and Africans in Canada.
Welcome:
Pride Uganda Alliance International is an upcoming organisation that is established with the 519 Church Street Community Centre. It supports mostly individuals from East Africa but now also includes members from other communities as first a bi-weekly social group for gays and lesbians who are mostly newcomers to Canada, refugee and settled peers that meet to discuss topics of interest and or take part in any creative and accessible activity in the community.
Pride Uganda Alliance International (PUAI) is a non-profit social group organised to assist LGBTQ Ugandans and East Africans who are either refugees or immigrants to Canada with any resettlement issues. We provide legal referrals, community and peer support, and when possible, loans for basic living expenses (having escaped with their lives and not much else) once they arrive in Toronto. We are also working to facilitate the escape of GLBTQ Ugandans facing imminent danger.
